Many times it happens with us that we are getting a single
mail multiple times (4 or 5 times), this problem exist when you do something
not wrong but not needed. Before going on the solution of this problem I want
to share you how our email client works…. here we go
Process of email communication
When we configure an email account to our mail client then
after we click on send/receive button or it will automatically do this process.
When mail client do this process it just send request to the mail server for
new existing mail. Then mail server reply with the list of mail present in
Inbox. Mail client receive the list and match with its own list of old mail if
old mail exist, if there will be no entry on that list it will download all the
mail present in inbox. After downloading the whole mail then it will disconnect
the connection with the mail server.
